The Government Degree College, Badaun, established in the year 2004 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The college is located in the city of Badaun, which is famous as heart of Rohilkahand.The city infact is situated between the two holy rivers Ganga and Ramganga.The College initially started with all the three faculties, i.e Arts faculty with seven subjects, Science faculty and Commerce faculty. Though the teaching in all the faculties began in the year 2004, but the college started working in its own campus in the year 2009.The building of the college was constructed by Awas Vikas.Over the years college has been trying to establish the mark in the field of education as well as extracurricular activities. The college has strived to establish itself as an epitome of learning and research. The faculties are encouraged to engage themselves in research related activities. As a Principal my endeavor is to take the college to newer heights, like increase in PG courses in all the subjects, though the college has to its credit postgraduate classes running in few subjects like English, Urdu, Political Science, History, Sociology and M.Com;simultaneously my efforts are to proliferate infrastructural facilities within the campus. My dream is to create an environment which relegates the college to a position which creates a conducive environment to cherish and fulfill the dreams of our visionaries, who wanted Government colleges to be exemplary in higher learning. I wish to establish this college as centre of excellence and realizing the goals of “ Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” with cooperation of my dear colleagues.
